1. Abokado

For a quick and healthy sushi hit, head to Abokado. Inspired by their world travels, the husband-and-wife team behind the London chain, have plenty of delicious, fresh sushi delights on offer.

2. Bento-Ya

Nestled in the heart of Fitzrovia, this family-owned eatery serves up authentic Japanese cuisine. Boasting the “best Katsu in London” Bento-Ya brings sushi with a modern twist, alongside hot, tasty bento boxes. Starting life as a Japanese bookstore in the 70s, the Japan Centre quickly expanded to include a restaurant, Japanese supermarket and bakery. Enjoy freshly prepared, authentic sushi and hot food while you pick up some baked bread and peruse the latest manga.

7. Japanika

Set in London’s famous Eastend, this takeaway specialises in all things sushi. From traditional salmon avocado hand rolls to more modern prawn katsu uramaki, Japanika have all your sushi needs covered!

For some of Deptford’s finest Halal Japanese food head to M&D Japanese Restaurant. With freshly prepared sushi, seafood specials, classic katsu curries and plenty of veggie options on offer, it’s well worth a visit.

Found in London’s popular Soho area, this charming restaurant Misato offers plenty of flavoursome Japanese food. Offering classic sushi rolls coupled with hot udon and rice dish options, you’re sure to find something to suit in this tasty and affordable eatery.

17. Waka

Bringing their exotic fusion of Japanese Peruvian food, Waka offers a twist on your typical sushi bar. Waka offers classic prawn dragon rolls alongside modern dishes like the Chaufa de Pollo (popcorn chicken with Japanese omelette and Yakisoba sauce). It’s sure to get your tastebuds tingling.

18. Wasabi
